Your Kareo provider list, schedules, and patient data are read live. MedReception AI captures calls and routes them; appointment bookings and new patient demographics (name, DOB, phone) sync to Kareo. Call summaries, medical history, and clinical details are returned as structured, EMR-pasteable summaries for your staff to review and file.
Your Kareo credentials and practice rules are imported automatically. Configuration is guided. Most practices are live and handling calls within 3–5 business days.

Your Kareo account credentials (username and password or API key), a list of providers and their phone extensions, your appointment types, and your call routing preferences (e.g., ring tone rules, urgent keywords for your specialty).
No. Your Kareo admin or practice manager can authorize the connection from the Kareo portal. No firewalls, VPNs, or server changes needed. It's a cloud-to-cloud connection.
The AI can be configured to recognize and use custom fields, appointment types, and provider attributes in Kareo. Your implementation specialist will map these during setup.
Yes. You can configure a test environment using a sandbox Kareo account or test a limited set of appointment types before full rollout.
The AI operates independently but syncs data to Kareo when available. If Kareo is temporarily unavailable, calls are still answered and queued; data is synced as soon as Kareo is back online.
Most practices are live in 3–5 business days. That includes initial setup, configuration, testing, and staff training. Complex multi-location practices may take a week or two.
