Identify acute pain flare-ups and route them to clinical staff immediately

Patients in severe pain or experiencing complications need rapid triage, not voicemail. Our AI detects urgency indicators during the call and escalates to your clinical team or on-call provider without delay.

How it pays back

Acute Pain Patients Don't Reach Voicemail

Patients experiencing severe pain or post-operative complications reach clinical staff immediately. Escalation reduces anxiety, improves patient satisfaction, and prevents adverse outcomes from delayed triage.

On-Call Provider Alerted in Real Time

Your on-call clinician receives urgent calls immediately and can provide guidance, arrange emergency referral, or schedule same-day evaluation. No delays from staff callbacks or message queues.

Clinical Summary Prepared Before Provider Contact

When the provider receives the call, pain type, severity, prior treatments, current medications, and imaging status are already documented. Triage is faster and more informed.

After-Hours Acute Cases Handled 24/7

Weekend and night calls reporting acute pain are escalated to on-call staff. Patients in crisis are triaged around the clock, reducing emergency department referrals and improving outcomes.

Frequently asked questions

How does the AI decide if a call is urgent?

The AI listens for clinical indicators: acute onset pain, severe pain rating, loss of function, inability to move, fever, swelling, medication ineffectiveness, or post-operative complications. If urgency is detected, the call is escalated immediately.

Where are urgent calls routed?

You define the escalation protocol: urgent calls can be routed to an on-call provider, a clinical triage nurse, your emergency line, or a specific staff member. The AI follows your protocol.

What information is provided to the provider when an urgent call arrives?

The AI prepares a summary: patient name, phone number, pain type and severity, onset, current medications, recent procedures, and any prior relevant treatments. This is delivered to the provider with the call or as a text alert.

Can the AI triage a call without escalating?

Yes. The AI can assess urgency and either escalate to a provider or log the call as routine. Your staff review routine calls at start of business and prioritize them based on the AI's notes.

Are on-call providers able to reach the patient during an escalation?

Yes. The AI provides the patient's phone number to the escalation recipient. The provider can call the patient back immediately to assess and advise. The original call is also recorded for the chart.
