ModMed Workflow
ModMed practices can conduct structured intake interviews on incoming calls and return demographics, insurance authorization, and medical history as a ready-to-file summary for staff to review and post to the patient record.
Patients no longer fill out multi-page intake forms before their visit. The AI gathers essentials on the call, and staff review and post the summary to the ModMed chart for clinician review.
Name, DOB, phone, address, and appointment details are already in ModMed. Staff focus only on verification and clinical chart completion.
Patients who complete intake on the call are more committed to the appointment than those sent a form link and a reminder text.
Medical history, allergies, and current medications arrive as a narrative summary that the clinician can quickly scan and sign off on, not a handwritten form with legibility gaps.

Yes. The AI conducts a guided intake interview covering name, contact details, date of birth, reason for visit, medical history, current medications, allergies, insurance carrier, and policy number. The caller confirms each section. If the call exceeds time or the patient prefers, the AI can pause and resume intake at the next touch point.
Insurance details (carrier name, policy number, group number, subscriber name) are captured on the call and returned in the structured summary as plain text. Staff review and verify the information, then file it into ModMed or into your insurance verification workflow. The AI does not automatically write insurance to the ModMed chart.
The AI asks open-ended questions ('Do you have any drug allergies?' 'What medications are you currently taking?') and compiles the patient's spoken answer into a text summary. Staff review the summary for completeness and accuracy, then post it to the ModMed chart. Structured allergy and medication data entry is a staff function.
The AI captures the patient's narrative and flags any urgent or high-risk keywords (chest pain, bleeding, recent hospitalization). Staff review the summary and may escalate to the clinician or supervisor before the patient's appointment. The AI does not diagnose or triage clinically; it documents what the patient reports.
Yes. During onboarding, you provide your standard new patient intake form or workflow. We configure the AI to ask those questions in a conversational order and map responses to ModMed chart fields. You can adjust questions anytime via the MedReception admin portal.
