Deployment
Deploying a medical AI receptionist typically takes 2–4 weeks from start to first live call, depending on EMR integration complexity and staff training. Here's what to expect at each stage.
Fast deployment means your practice starts capturing missed calls and booking appointments immediately.
Integration happens in the background. Your practice operates normally during setup.
Implementation includes training so your team knows how to review AI-captured data, route escalations, and work with the system.
Running AI on after-hours calls first lets your staff see how it works without changing daytime workflows immediately.
Call logs show which workflows need tuning. You adjust urgency rules, call scripts, and escalation paths based on real usage.

We need read-access to your patient database (to look up existing patients and check appointment availability) and write-access to appointment calendars and new patient creation (name, DOB, phone). For security, we use OAuth or API tokens—not passwords. Your IT team approves all access before we activate. Clinical information (medical history, allergies, medications, symptoms, chief complaint) and insurance details are captured on the call and returned as a structured, EMR-pasteable summary for your staff to review and file manually.
No. The AI receptionist routes through your existing phone number. Your current phone system stays in place. Calls are routed to the AI first, then to your staff or on-call provider as configured.
We support named integrations with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Elation, Cerbo, Hint, Tebra, AdvancedMD, and ModMed. If yours isn't listed, we can work alongside your EMR using our portal and structured summaries for your staff to file. We'll discuss options and timeline in the discovery call.
Yes. Most practices do this. You run the AI on after-hours and weekend calls while staff monitor logs and get comfortable with the system. After 2-3 weeks, you flip the switch to handle all inbound calls during business hours too.
The AI becomes your voicemail replacement. Every call that would have gone to voicemail is instead answered by the AI. You can keep a backup voicemail for special cases, but it's rarely used after the AI launches.
