What if a patient calls after hours and the provider they want is fully booked?

The AI offers the next available slot with that provider. If there's no availability with that provider, it offers the next available appointment with another provider at the same location, so the patient has a confirmed time without delay. Your staff can follow up the next day if the patient prefers to wait for their original provider.

How does the AI know which appointment types your practice uses?

During onboarding, you map your appointment types, cosmetic consultation, skin concern follow-up, routine exam, procedure pre-op, etc., to the slots and providers your EMR already tracks. The AI uses those categories to ask the right questions and book into the right slot. If you change your types or add new ones, our team updates the AI at no extra cost.

Does the booking write to the EMR automatically?

Yes. The confirmed appointment writes to your EMR with the appointment type, date, time, provider and new patient demographics. MedReception integrates with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Elation, Cerbo, Hint, Tebra, ModMed, Practice Fusion, Jane, Office Ally, SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Accuro, pMD, PS Suite and Nextech. What about multi-location practices?
