1. What you would receive
- A request to confirm your appointment about a week, a day and an hour before it, with the date, time and practice name. One tap confirms.
- A follow-up if a request goes unanswered. It may offer to reschedule, with open times to choose from; shortly before the visit it may also offer to cancel.
- Within 24 hours of an appointment, a note that the practice may charge a fee for appointments cancelled or changed with less than 24 hours' notice.
Messages arrive as RCS when your phone and carrier support it, otherwise as SMS. They name the practice and the appointment time and nothing else: no diagnosis, medication, test result or other clinical detail. A typical message reads:
Demo Medical Practice: Your appointment is Wed, Oct 7 at 3:00 PM. Please tap Confirm to let us know you'll be there. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.✅ Confirm
Tap Confirm or reply YES to confirm, RESCHEDULE to change the time, STOP to end all texts, HELP for help, or START to resume texts after stopping.
